My Feed Alerts seem slow

If you’re publishing a feed and it seems to take a long time for feed alerts to show up in Feed Crier, it might be because you’re using a third-party service like Feedburner to host your feeds.

These services are great, but they mean that your feeds aren’t updated as soon as you post new content. It can take up to an hour before your feed gets updated. And until your feed is updated, Feed Crier can’t work its magic.

Many feed hosting services have a ping service you can use to tell them when your feed’s been updated. A simple change to your configuration in your blogging software is all that’s needed. Check with your feed hosting provider for more details about how to do this.
